It just hit me a minute ago that "Hey, it's September!" (can I claim to still be adjusting to the opposite season thing?) and I TOTALLY missed my third blogging anniversary, which happened to be last Friday.
I'd planned to celebrate by giving away something I picked up at the big artisan fair in Cordoba in April: a hand-knit pair of gloves made in Bolivia. There's a group of Bolivian women who have a booth at the big feria every year. You can usually find one or more of them sitting behind their display table, chatting while their knitting needles FLY. I've never seen such fast knitters in my life!
Anyway, since I'd originally planned on starting the giveaway on Monday and leaving it open all week I'll stick to the plan -- only a week later. So leave a comment on this post any time this week up until midnight Friday, September 17th (eastern standard time) and I'll pick a winner on Saturday.
Yes, you can return and comment once a day all week for more chances to win!
I have a pair of these gloves myself and luuuuurve them! They're soft, warm and lovely.

Happy anniversary - hard to believe it's been three years! Love reading your blog because I can absolutely hear you talking as I read. :-)
Congratulations on your blogiversary. I'm a fairly new follower, but I've loved your blog since the day that I found it. I talk about it all of the time to my husband! I'm so glad I found it! Have a great day :) Kathy
the only ways for me to get knitted gloves would be for someone to give them to me. so i could give them to Katie.
Eight years last month for me.
My needles fly when I knit too. The only difference is that mine are flying in my eye, my stomach, my chest - everywhere except where they should be:)
Nelida (Zanetti), who taught me to knit, was amazingly fast with the needles. But, I never got the speed. And I never learned to knit like Mother, who seemed so effortless in her knitting style. I would say the difference was efficiency of movement. And I do believe Mother's knitting was much tighter than most.
Are family members allowed to enter?
My soft wool gloves, from a South American country, just wore holes in several places. I could use a new pair, and have not yet knit gloves with fingers.
You reminded me that my third is coming up soon as well. I thought you had been at it much longer than I. You have written many more posts, for sure, and longer ones. Always a fun read! Congrats, dear SIL!
Oh- gloves would be nice to have for the cool months that are coming our way! Congratulations on your 3 years!
pick me. pick me.
Happy Blogoversary and thanks for being the 1000th commenter on my blog!
