It really IS winter!

As evidence I provide the following... Yes, honest to goodness snow. We don't typically see much of that here (for which I'm very grateful) and it will all probably be gone within a few hours.

In this next photo look closely just to the right of center...see that little bit of red? That's one lone brave rose trying to bloom. And notice how huge the snowflakes are...GIGANTIC! Since yesterday I've added longjohns to the mix AND the fleece blanket :-)

Wow, those are big snowflakes! At least it doesn't last long. I've just come back from a very short walk. I was barely on the road and it started to sprinkle, within two minutes it was a downpour! At least it wasn't snow!

Today, Michigan decided to warm a tad, but threw rain on the whole thing, too. So, no shorts again today. I like that shot of those snowflakes.

Today, for our planned family day on the water, on a party barge/pontoon boat for 25 +, it RAINED and was COLD and I'm SICK.
But everybody had a good time. The kids, swimming, sliding, tubing, etc. Great fun to watch.
I MUST go to bed NOW and probably see a doctor tomorrow.

No snowmen or snowball fights or sledding? Must be disappointing. Enjoy cozying up in your blankets... and your baths!

Wow, that's crazy! Where do you live? I live in MN and we usually don't see snow until October.

Oh my! I'm never ready for cold weather. I grew up in northern Iowa where it snows a TON. Glad for milder winters in southern Illinois. Blessings, SusanD
